About CIS

CIS (Center for Internet Security) works behind the scenes to make the connected world a safer place. Think cybersecurity, but practical and impact-driven. The team is part of the Sales and Business Services department, sitting within Product Management—so you'll be right where ideas turn into real products.

Role Overview

This is a part-time, remote product internship focused entirely on AI and innovation. You won't be fetching coffee or organizing files. Instead, you'll help the team figure out how AI can make product ideation, building, and testing faster and smarter. It's perfect for a current undergrad who's genuinely curious about AI, product management, and maybe even cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and test AI tools that can help with brainstorming, writing user stories, and gathering requirements • Work directly with product managers to build and try out AI-assisted workflows that save time and reduce busywork • Help testing efforts by exploring how AI can generate better test cases and improve test coverage • Write down what you learn, share recommendations, and help shape the team's AI adoption roadmap • Collaborate with engineering, design, and security teams to see if your ideas actually work in the real world • Take on other small tasks and responsibilities as they come up (because that's how startups and smart teams roll)

Qualifications & Requirements

• Currently enrolled in any year of an undergraduate program—Computer Science, Information Systems, Product Design, Business, or something similar • Real interest in AI/ML and hands-on experience using tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, or similar • Genuine curiosity about how products are built and what product managers actually do • Good communication skills—you can explain a technical idea to someone who isn't technical • Self-starter attitude. You don't wait for permission to try things

Must-Have Non-Negotiables

• Authorized to work in the United States • A bias toward action and ownership—you like getting things done • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly • Currently enrolled in a degree program (any year welcome)

Nice-to-Have Skills & Bonus Qualifications

• Familiar with product management basics like user stories, roadmaps, or prioritization • Some exposure to programming or app development (any language is fine) • Know what Lean thinking is—eliminating waste, running quick experiments, iterating toward value • Interest in cybersecurity (even just a little) • Used tools like Jira, Figma, or Notion before • Done any coursework or project involving machine learning, NLP, or data analysis

Perks & Employee Benefits

• Competitive pay: $20–$25 per hour • Fully remote and part-time—work around your class schedule • Real hands-on experience with AI tools and product workflows • Work alongside experienced product managers and engineers • Learn how cybersecurity and product development come together • Inclusive, welcoming environment where your background actually matters • Chance to leave a mark on how AI is adopted across a real product team
